After graduation, he worked as an IT specialist and special assistant at a residential property management company in Bethesda, MD. He founded a startup that scraped public data to provide comparative analysis tools for landlords to price their apartments. He set up sales agreements in the U.S. and worldwide for a manufacturer of prosthetic leg components. He joined Amazon’s Central Economics team (now called Core Artificial Intelligence) as an assistant to the chief economist; there he set up the team’s first project management system, tracking hundreds of active research projects across an international organization of PhD economists and data scientists. He worked in another “green” industry as an inventory manager for one of Seattle’s fastest growing adult-use marijuana dispensaries, ensuring full legal compliance with state law.
