Abigail Schwarz
Abigail Schwartz has experience in communications, content creation and research. She combines a deep knowledge of social science with practical communications experience to achieve results.
Abigail did her bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Modern History at the University of St Andrews. It was there that she first got involved in climate action and renewable energy advocacy. She went on to get a Masters in Political Psychology at the University of Kent where she received the Else Frenkel-Brunswik Prize for Political Psychology.
Notable roles since graduation include a research assistantship at the Center for Decision Research at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, research coordination for the Princeton Stakeholder Survey on Delivering Net Zero, and assisting with teaching in the University of Chicago Psychology Department.
Since 2021 Abigail has served on the communications committee for 350 Chicago, a local climate action organization best known for getting the city of Chicago to divest their operating budget from fossil fuels. Over the years she has spearheaded numerous communications campaigns for the organization as well as creating content for the newsletter, social media and website. In 2024 she was promoted to head of the communications committee.
Abigail lives in Chicago with her husband, a rotating cast of foster cats, and far too many craft supplies.
