Lauren Glickman has over a decade of experience in clean energy and climate change advocacy, and running winning campaigns. She has a successful track record for implementing winning social media and online strategies.
She worked with nonprofits and renewable energy businesses for five years as WindyGlick Communications, developing social media strategies and driving online engagement. She spearheaded marketing, online communications, and lead generation for numerous companies in the cleantech and renewable energy finance sectors.
Since 2013 Lauren has been an adjunct professor at The George Washington University School of Media and Public Affairs, teaching undergraduate, graduate and executive education courses and seminars on social media theory and practice.
Previously at the American Wind Energy Association, she was responsible for re-design, relaunch and management of AWEA’s social media program and the Power of Wind online advocacy portal. It got 400 times as much traffic in the first six months after relaunch, and Lauren's work earned AWEA a spot among the top 10 social media-savvy trade associations. She also successfully organized marketing and advocacy campaigns for the Chesapeake Climate Action Network, Environmental Working Group, and the Fund for Public Interest Research. She holds a Bachelor’s in Environmental Policy and English from Tulane University.
